International recording artist Michael Allen Harrison, now with distribution throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and the Far East, continues to intrigue and enlighten audiences with his unique concert piano style. Michael's latest review in Car & HiFi Magazine, Europe's leading industry source, praises his brilliantly smooth technique.
Michael's releases receive local and national air play on radio stations around the country. (KINK, KKJZ, KUPL, KMHD, KBOO, KKSF in San Francisco, The WAVE in Los Angeles and many other stations.) Michael's album Emotional Connection received a NASA Orbiting Certificate for air play in space on the space shuttle Endeavor and in 1994 Michael's album Circle Of Influence went up on the space shuttle "Discovery".
In addition to his recording career, Michael has produced many musical scores. He produced the original score for the movie Claire of the Moon, which premiered in May of 1992, as well as the scores for national commercials, infomercials and industrial films which include United Way, Soloflex, Nordic Nex Gold, Freightliner, Mercedes Benz, Oregon Economic Development Commission, Qwest, Bugg's Computers and Willamette Week.
Michael has performed live in concert at outdoor music festivals, local clubs, conventions, and countless other venues. Television appearances have included KATU Channel 2 (ABC), The AM Northwest show, KOIN Around Town and KOIN special events (CBS), KGW's Good Evening program (NBC), KPTV 12's Good Day Oregon, UHF 19, 56, and 66 Watch TV's Electric Surftalk show. Michael also loves the theatre as can be heard in his original score produced for the Snowman - A Winter Ballet. He is currently working on a musical called Prometheus inspired by the myth of Prometheus from Greek mythology.
Michael has also been honored to record with the prestigious audiophile label Sheffield Labs. Additional recordings include: the Fabric Of Life, a benefit album for AIDS, Lights Out II and Lights Out III albums which feature local and national recording artists such as Bill Lamb, Valerie Day, Julianne Johnson, David Benoit, Dave Koz, Tom Grant, William Ackerman, Grant Geissman and George Winston. Michael has opened for many national acts such as The Yellow Jackets, Michael Franks, Dan Siegel, Tom Grant and Patrick O'Hearn.
